H-E-B Pharmacy App

I designed a user-friendly app for H-E-B Pharmacy that allows customers to manage prescriptions, set up auto-refills, and receive notifications, resulting in a significant improvement in user satisfaction with a 4.7-star rating.

As the Senior Visual Designer for H-E-B's Pharmacy app, I had a major influence on changing how customers handle their prescriptions and use pharmacy services. I focused on making a user-friendly mobile experience that simplified the tricky process of managing prescriptions. By redoing the app's interface and boosting its features, we aimed to make it easier to use while following strict healthcare rules like HIPAA. We started by looking at the current app, finding problem areas, and getting feedback from both users and stakeholders. This helped shape our design approach, which centered on creating an easy-to-use and consistent experience.

The outcome was an app that made things better for users and boosted customer happiness, as shown by its 4.7-star rating. By tweaking the design testing with users, and working with H-E-B's pharmacy and marketing teams, we created an app that helped people take their meds more and gave them key tools to look after their health. Our efforts on this project proved how smart design can uplift both the customer's experience and the company's results.

Innovation and Differentiation

The H-E-B Pharmacy app shows how groundbreaking design and development can have a huge impact on user experience. InMotion Software had to redesign H-E-B's pharmacy application to fix low adoption rates and usability problems in the original app. They needed to come up with a solution that would boost user engagement while following strict HIPAA security rules.

By using built-in mobile OS security and API connections, InMotion Software made the app's functions simpler helping users manage their prescriptions more . The app's new features, like tools to identify pills, alerts about drug interactions, and reminders for schedules, were created to improve how people use the app while following healthcare rules. These unique aspects make the H-E-B Pharmacy app stand out from other apps giving users a smooth safe, and easy-to-use experience.

Measurable Impact and Success

The redesigned H-E-B Pharmacy app had an immediate and big effect. The team kept improving the design and testing it with lots of users. This made the app's rating jump from a low 1 star to a high 4.7 stars on the App Store. This big boost in how happy users were shows that the design and development work paid off.

The app's improved usability had a positive impact on users' prescription adherence. By simplifying medication management for customers, the app helped to enhance health outcomes and boost H-E-B's revenue through more consistent prescription refills. The app's added benefits, like working without internet and adapting to time-zone changes further cemented its role as a key tool for H-E-B's pharmacy customers.

Creative Elements and Execution

The H-E-B Pharmacy app's creative design played a key role in its triumph. As the Senior Visual Designer for this project, I developed a full custom design language that worked well and looked great. We aimed to build an interface that users found easy to use while keeping a professional and sleek look.

Our main design features included simple interactions unified branding, and a user-first approach. We involved important team members in weekly user tests and checked our design choices. This made sure the end product met both H-E-B's and its customers' needs. The outcome? A good-looking app that also worked well.

Overall Excellence and Industry Advancement

The H-E-B Pharmacy app shows how smart design and teamwork can push an industry forward. We worked hand-in-hand with H-E-B's Pharmacy and Marketing teams, along with other key players, to build agreement and make a product that went beyond what people hoped for.

The app's big win proves how powerful design thinking can be and why it matters to get users involved when creating something new. It also shows how fresh design ideas can raise the bar for an entire industry in healthcare. The H-E-B Pharmacy app isn't just another product; it's a roadmap for mixing design and tech to create solutions that matter and make a difference for the people who use them.
